Snuggling in cosy PJs, enjoying the colourful lights on these short, dark days of winter. Simple joys!

The greens of the pines and the browns of earth on the trails signify the end of fall, awaiting the blanket of white soon to come.
There are a couple of trails that illuminate with yellows and oranges. To look at them, walk through and under them – I can understand the phrase, “Nature’s Majesty”! Truly beautiful.

Some days, being in nature feels like I blend into it. So much life growing, singing, flying, and the pooches drinking refreshing water from the hose!
There are so many greens! The leaves. The trees. The flowers pop with yellows, reds, oranges, purples, blues. If colours could sing, it would be a choir en masse!
Drinking in the intense colour of summer, listening to the forest bird calls during a walk in the shade of the woods. So many opportunities to enjoy nature.
Yippee! The begonias are back! They decorate the yard so beautifully and the house in scattered bowls of water. Daily small joys!
The lake trail in Ajax/Pickering has so many beautiful spots to bike, walk, or just sit on a bench and enjoy the view of the lake, the trees, the birds, the people…
Through a window or during a walk, it is time to get out and enjoy the colour returning – the green is abundant!

In February I saw a flock of hundreds of robins flying in the pines around our field and then suddenly overhead. What an experience! I thought, “It’s too early. I have only seeds, no worms.” Look for the migrations, so thrilling. Thanks, global warming, I guess?
