2012 Lilacs

We are enjoying the lilacs. Smaller than years past but beautiful and fragrant all the same. I love being able to go outside and cut flowers to bring inside. |

The colour of the ranunculus is so brilliant.It makes me stop each time I pass by.
Add the birds singing in this verdure and voila-Heaven! IÂ am grateful that I recognize and appreciate the abundant beauty that surrounds me. I still miss my mom. She loved sitting in nature too. I guess she IS life now. |

flitting around the trees, the  grass,
in and out of the cedars
their song en masse
allowing me to awaken with them and the earth this spring
